Artist, Founder, Le Paused/ Experience Designer + Executive Producer, Events
Hi Megan, Lesley, Tim and team!
I have never reached out to a podcast before but I found yours today and LOOOOOVE what you are doing. I just launched (last week) a brand for GenX Women - basically it's fine art prints with a side of WTF.
I market it as
Art prints for the "looks polite but has a bite" woman. Midlife, perimenopausal - over the drama, owning our rage and giving less shits. Beautiful from a distance, delightfully unhinged up close. This is our "me" era.
I've gotten some great initial response from Melani Sanders (we do not care club), Lauren Hale (beauty, peri menopause influencer), Tamsen Fadal (auther, menopause expert).
I'm bootstrapping this project and would really love to see it take off as I have a bigger vision - Le Paused is an active experience, a verb - I tell my customers when they purchase they've been "Le Paused" Being Le Paused means slamming the brakes on all the noise, embracing your wild side, and permitting yourself to be you - all you, unfiltered. Being Le Paused means owning your true self." I see an experience brand in the making with Le Paused - community, events, art + kvetch + "sick of this shit" kinda fun!
Here is a video that I think explains why I started lepaused.

Now you asked for a bio - here is what I share on my personal site www.denisecannon.com
I have spent many years asking a single question :WHY
I’m a hybrid in the event world. Part strategist, part experience designer – throw in an executive producer and you get someone obsessed with experiences that make sense and cents at every touchpoint.
I’ve worked with CEOs, Heads of State, 2 Astronauts, Best Selling Authors, Actors, Poets, Young Entrepreneurs, Politicians, A Woman Who Trekked Everest - the list goes on
I’ve launched campaigns and brand strategies, spearheaded award-winning experiences, created viral flashmobs, produced every sort of media, and used events as fundraising vehicles.
I’ve been featured in Voyage LA interview and Life Science Leader
And finally, I am an abstract artist. I sell my artwork in large form and I just launched a new project, Le Paused for women in their midlife that are embracing all of the messy.
I'd love to see if there's a way to engage and chat with you!
And I would be absolutely happy to offer a promotion to you and your community :)
